Google Photos Comment

With the latest update to Google Photos, Google is making shared albums smarter and more social by adding a couple of new features to them. Firstly, people whom you share an album to can now comment on the photos right from within the app.

When Google Photos was a part of Google+, this functionality was present in the service but it got axed when Photos was separated from Google’s failed social networking service. Whenever your friend comments on a photo, you will also get a notification about it.

Secondly, Google Photos will not automatically give you smart suggestions to add your own photos to a shared album. This way you will not have to go through the tedious process of finding the photos from the gallery and adding them manually to Google Photos. The feature will analyse the date, time and location of the pictures to make the recommendations.

Google is rolling out the above features to Android and iOS client of Google Photos, along with the web version.

Google Photos is my favorite photo backup tool out there due to its ease of use and the plethora of features that the company keeps adding to it. Do you use Google Photos to backup all your photos?
