Soon after unveiling its first dual-camera setup phone, the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has gone ahead and unveiled its second handset with a dual-camera setup at its rear: the Galaxy J7 Plus.

For now, the company has silently unveiled the handset in Thailand, though its international launch should not be far away.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy J7 Pro is a mid-range device with its dual-camera setup at the rear being the highlight. The primary shooter is a 13MP sensor paired with an f/1.7 lens, while the secondary 5MP sensor has an f/1.9 aperture. The secondary lens is used for capturing depth information which allows the J7 Plus to offer a Portrait mode similar to the iPhone 7 Plus.

Talking about its internals and other specs, the Galaxy J7 Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display at its front. Inside the handset is MediaTek’s octa-core Helio P20 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB of storage space, and a microSD card slot. All this is powered by a 3000mAh battery. Other specs of the handset include a fingerprint scanner at the front, a 16MP selfie shooter at the front with LED flash, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and NFC.

The handset runs on Samsung’s own user interface, formerly known as TouchWiz, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat here.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is currently up for pre-order in Thailand for THB 12,900. It is available in black, gold, and pink colors.
