Samsung’s Galaxy Fold was supposed to be launched in April. Apparently, Samsung delayed the launch in order to iron out the issues on the Galaxy Fold.  Earlier this month, Samsung executive said that they will shortly reveal details about the new launch date for Galaxy Fold. True to their promise, Samsung Display Vice President, Kim Seong-Cheol has now announced that the Galaxy Fold is almost ready to launch.

Samsung Galaxy Fold has earned the wrath of reviewers after they found several issues with the display. Apparently, the foldable display was prone to crack while dust collected between the screen layers. Samsung, VP claims that all the problems have been addressed and the Galaxy Fold is finally ready to go on sale.

At an industry conference, Samsung said: “Most of the display problems have been ironed out, and the Galaxy Fold is ready to hit the market.” Before we jump to conclusions, there is no doubt that Samsung’s statement is ambiguous in nature. Fixing “Most of the display problems” doesn’t make the cut, especially on a phone that costs as much as $2000. That apart, the company is also not very clear on the launch date. We hope that Samsung will announce a date or even a time frame of when exactly the Galaxy Fold will be launched.

A quick recap, Samsung Galaxy Fold comes equipped with a 4.6-inch hinged display that becomes 7.3-inch when opened. The cover camera is a 10MP unit with an aperture of F2.2. Samsung has baked in a dual front camera setup that consists of the 10MP sensor+ 8MP RGB Depth camera. The triple rear camera setup is made up of a combination of 16MP Ultra Wide Camera, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, and 12MP Telephoto lens.
