Verizon Updates Galaxy S8 to Support Shopping on Amazon Through Bixby Vision

Immediately after the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ launched on Verizon Wireless, it became known that shopping through Amazon by way of Bixby Vision wasn’t actually supported on their handsets.

That wasn’t the case for the other major wireless carriers in the United States, so obviously it raised some questions. Verizon later confirmed that the feature wasn’t present on their devices, and that the carrier was working with Amazon to turn it on at some point in the future. For Galaxy S8 owners they’d just have to wait to get another Bixby feature on their flagship phone.

Well, the wait is over. The Verge reports that Verizon-branded Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ units are now getting updated to support shopping through Amazon with Bixby Vision. To get the update, owners just need to tap the Bixby Vision button in the camera app, and that will prompt the update through the Galaxy Apps store.

Bixby Voice is still missing, though.

Any Verizon customers out there who were eagerly anticipating this specific feature on their Galaxy S8?
