If you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the OnePlus 7, then the company’s CEO has some good news for you today.

OnePlus Chief Executive Officer Pete Lau took to Twitter today to confirm that the company will be making an announcement related to a launch event on Tuesday, April 23. Yes, this is the company’s CEO basically announcing an announcement event in under a week. (bobbergdesigns) But at least now we know when to circle on the calendar for even bigger news.

Rumor has it that the OnePlus 7 is going to get unveiled on May 14. When it does arrive, it could feature three different variants. The first, standard variant will reportedly look similar to the OnePlus 6T with its teardrop notch. Meanwhile, the second variant may boast a 6.64-inch 90Hz display without a notch and a pop-out camera system. The third variant will see 5G connectivity added to the mix.

While it’s possible that OnePlus’s CEO is teasing the announcement of something else, it seems like a safe bet that the OnePlus 7 will be the primary focus in the weeks ahead.
