In case I haven’t told you already, I love my Note II, and I can’t wait to hear more about its successor, the Note III. According to The Korea Times, the third generation Note will have a massive 5.9 inch FullHD (1080p) screen. A prototype will be shown to AT&T executives this week, which is nothing to be surprised about. Device makers always show prototype to operators because operators like to plan their product portfolios months in advance.

Previous rumors suggested the Note III would have a 6.3 inch screen, which is insane, so I’m happy about this new 5.9 inch rumor, thought I’m a still a bit worried that it might be too large.

While I’m on the subject of the 6.3 inch rumor, The Korea Times says that Samsung will indeed release a 6.3 inch device, but it’s going to be a budget product. They say this product will be announced at some point during the first half of 2013. Considering that it’s almost April, that means we’ll have to wait just 100 days or so.

The Note III on the other hand, it’s likly going to be announced at IFA in Berlin in September. That’s where the first and second Notes were announced, so it only makes sense to launch the third Note there too.
