Another month, and another security bulletin for Android posted by Google. This month’s update has just been released.

Google has officially released the latest Android security update, signaling they’ve identified more than a handful of new vulnerabilities that they’ve addressed in the latest software update. According to Google, they’ve picked up on 25 vulnerabilities this time around (there were 29 in April), and that there were six of them that were called “critical.” That includes vulnerabilities related to Qualcomm TrustZone, NVIDI Video Driver, and others.

Google also confirmed that out of the 25 vulnerabilities that were discovered, not a single one of them resulted in customer’s exploitation.

As has become standard, Google has already notified its Android partners of the vulnerabilities. According to Google, that notification was sent out as far back as April 4. The source code patches for the issues will be published to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) in the next two days. Google will also begin sending out the security update to its Nexus devices soon.
