Google hosting a sale on Play Store to celebrate its second anniversary

Google is celebrating the second birthday of its digital store for apps, games, book and movies — the Play Store — by offering exclusive offers across them. The offers vary from country to country and are not limited only to apps or their content. For example, you can use the Hotels.com app to book a holiday and enjoy 10% discount on your booking or get a $15 gift card in the Fancy app.

  • QuizUp – Free
  • The Sims FreePlay – 50% off of Adopt a Toddler
  • The Hunger Games Adventure – Free $5 in-game credit
  • Badland – 50% off IAPs, a new menu theme and the ability to play as an Android mascot
  • FIFA 14 – Play an exclusive tournament to win a Gold Players Premium pack and 5000 coins
  • Heroes of Dragon Age – Free in-game content
  • Royal Revolt 2 – Access to exclusive levels

Sadly, the above deals don’t even come close to Google’s previous 10cent and 25cent sales but I guess something is better than nothing. The Play Store has matured and grown so big that I don’t think it would be feasible to expect Google to hold such a sale ever again sometime soon.
