After leaking in a video and Google officially confirming its October 4th launch event date for its new Pixel smartphones, the Pixel and Pixel XL have now leaked in non-blurry photos.

The photos give us our clearest look at the new HTC-made Pixel smartphones from Google. As evident from the photos, the Pixel and Pixel XL will feature the same design, with only the size differentiating them from each other. Like the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the Pixel and Pixel XL feature a fingerprint sensor at their rear. The rear of the phones seems to have two different parts, with the top one being made of glass while the bottom being made of aluminium, which matches up with previous rumors and leaks.

From the front, both phones look pretty….mediocre. The plethora of bezel surrounding the display does not help things either. Maybe it’s the color of the phones or the poor lighting, but if this is how the new Pixel smartphones from Google and HTC are going to look like and apparently cost $649 and higher, they are going to have a tough time finding buyers for them.

It’s not the phones look hideous or bad, they just look bland. And the healthy dose of bezel surrounding the display on the front does not help things either.

Google is all set to official unveil the Pixel and Pixel XL on October 4th. Both handsets will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset, feature 3/4GB RAM, and come with a 12MP rear shooter.
