We’re still waiting for Google to make an announcement in regards to another variant of the Pixel 3 lineup, but until that happens it looks like the rumor mill is more than willing to offer up a variety of details.

The Pixel 3 Lite is said to be a variant of the Pixel 3, insofar that it’s a mid-range handset that scales back some of the specifications compared to that flagship handset. That should result in a smaller price tag, if the Pixel 3 Lite actually ever sees the light of day, of course. But it also means getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor instead of the Snapdragon 845. It also means only 4GB of RAM and a 2915mAh battery, all smaller than what’s available in the Pixel 3 right now.

But, if Google can nail that price tag, the mid-range Pixel 3 Lite should do pretty well for itself.

The latest rumor comes from Russian blog Wylsa, which reportedly got a retail unit of the upcoming handset. We can see the bezels on the top and bottom, and the single 8MP front-facing camera (instead of the two cameras on the other Pixel 3 variants). But otherwise this looks like the latest generation Pixel smartphone. It’s comparative in size to other handsets, which the publication put side-by-side, including the iPhone X and iPhone XR, and the Pixel 3 XL. One of the major talking points for the Pixel 3 Lite is the rumored inclusion of the 3.5mm headphone jack, a port that Google has kicked out of its flagship lineup. Could the smaller price tag, and the inclusion of the headphone jack, help spur sales of the Pixel 3 Lite? Would you buy one?
