Google+ Collections

Ever since the launch of Google+, the company behind the relatively new social network has been working hard on adding features to make it stand out. One such new feature is now rolling out now.

It’s called Google+ Collections, and it’s meant to make it possible for users to group their posts together by just the topic they’re covering. That doesn’t just mean text-based status updates, either, but also includes photos, videos and more.

Now, with the new feature, Google+ users will see a new share button on their individual status updates. With the new button, a drop-down menu will appear that will prompt the user to either add the individual post to a Collection that’s already been established, or to add a new Collection as they see fit. There’s a “learn more” option as well, which takes the collector to the landing page, which can be seen from the screen grab above.

The landing page still says the feature is coming soon, but many Google+ users have already begun picking up Collections. The feature is rolling out now to the Web-based Google+, as well as the Android app.
