Google has released the April security patch for its compatible Pixel and Nexus devices. Apart from fixing some critical vulnerabilities, the April security patch fixes plenty of bugs and issues found in the Pixel 2 and its XL brother.

If you are interested in the vulnerabilities fixed by Google in the April security update, make sure to check the April Security Bulletin. And if you are a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL owner, here’s everything that the April patch fixes or improves.

The improvements include fixing the unreliable swipe up gesture to open the lock screen, improved fingerprint scanner performance and Wi-Fi stability, VoLTE improvements for certain carriers, and more. Google is also claiming a reduction in battery drain which should help improve the overall battery life of the handset. Google does not usually fix so many issues with its security release so the April security release is more like a maintenance release with some important bug fixes.
