Back in June, on the 11th to be precise, Google announced that they bought Waze. A little more than two months later, the company is now saying that users of Google Maps for Android and iOS will start seeing Waze data. Now not all countries will be supported, here’s the complete list: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, UK, and USA.

If you’re like me and live somewhere else, then you can still go on using the Waze app. It’ll work just as well, though you’ll obviously have to switch between that app and Google Maps to figure out how to get to where you want to go. And if you don’t even own a car, like the majority of people living in big European cities, then you’ve probably never heard of Waze, nor will you ever need to know that Google Maps has traffic data.
