Samsung’s mobile business head Koh Dong-jin has urged the company’s employees to not leak data about its upcoming flagship products and devices, including the Galaxy S8.

In an email sent to its employees on December 15th, Dong-jin says that he is disappointed after hearing about the recent attempts at data breach and prototype leak inside the company. He specifically pointed out how leaks related to product design and business strategies from China have hurt the company.

In an email sent to employees on Dec. 15, Koh said, “I feel deeply regretful to hear news of the recent attempts at data breach and prototype leak. Samsung had a bitter experience due to the leak of important data — on product design and business strategies — to China and consequently suffered damages in the past.”

The Investor also reports that Samsung has completed its investigation into the Galaxy Note 7 explosion fiasco, and it has proceeded to share its findings with outside laboratories like the Korea Testing Laboratory and UL. The company is expected to share its findings with the public before the end of this year as it wants to focus on the Galaxy S8 for next year. Plus, the sooner everyone stops talking about the Note 7, the better it will be for the company.
