Samsung Galaxy Alpha leaked photos

It is all but known that Samsung is working on a handset with some premium materials that will compete directly against the next-generation iPhone — the Galaxy Alpha. Some images of the prototype version of the handset leaked back in late-July along with its rumored specs.

Today, another set of images of the Galaxy Alpha have made its way to the Internet, courtesy of the folks over at Nowhereelse.fr.

The images give us a clear look at the Galaxy Alpha design, which seems to be inspired from the Galaxy S5. While the front and the back of the Alpha are still made of plastic, there is a metallic frame running around the edges of the device as seen on the iPhone 5s, Xperia Z2 and other high-end devices.

It is yet to be seen whether this metallic frame will be enough to give the Galaxy Alpha a premium in-hand feel, which Galaxy products have sorely lacked over all these years.

The Galaxy Alpha will sport a 4.8-inch 720p resolution Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor, an ARM Mali-T628 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage space, a 2.1MP front-facing camera and a 12MP ISO-CELL shooter at the rear. It is widely expected that Samsung would unveil the handset this month.
