Nexus 5xGoogle will begin shipping its new Nexus 5X, its more affordable new smartphone manufactured by LG, on October 22. The Google Store previously stated that the device would ship “in the coming weeks,” but a specific release date has now been added.

Google announced the Nexus 5X on September 29 and began taking pre-orders via the Google Store on the same day, but the company did not tell customers exactly when they could expect to receive their device. All it said was that it would begin shipping in October.

Now an update to the Nexus 5X product page on the Google Store confirms that the handset’s release date is October 22, which means we now have less than two weeks to wait for the device.

Starting at $379 with 16GB of storage, the Nexus 5X is a cheaper alternative to the larger Nexus 6P manufactured by Huawei. The device carries a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera.

In the U.S., the Nexus 5X comes with a three-month trial of Google Play Music, and a $50 gift card to spend in the Play Store.
