In a very strange move, Google is soon going to make it mandatory for all paid app publishers on Google Play to add their address in their Google Play console. Once added, Google will be displaying this address on the app listing page of the developer on Google Play.

The deadline for all developers to enter their address is 30th September failing which Google might restrict their ability to update or publish new apps. Continued failure will eventually lead Google to remove their apps from the Play Store. As of now, free app publishers on Google Play are not required to provide their address.

The email that Google sent to the developer of GoneMAD Music Player also reveals that the company will soon be displaying the price range for apps that offer In-App Purchases or any kind of subscription on their listing page, which is a welcome addition.

The initial response to this move among developers is pretty negative with most of them sharing their creepy experiences, which clearly suggests that this might not be a good idea from the Internet giant after all.
