The Taiwanese site ePrice just scored some exclusive information about Sony’s upcoming ZU. They say it will indeed be announced on the 25th of this month, and that it will have a Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.2 GHz, it’ll have 2 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, and a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery. That last spec, the battery, has me tremendously worried due to the phone’s massive 6.44 inch 1080p display. Can 3,000 mAh last a normal person until lunch?

Like the smaller 5 inch Z and ZL, the Xperia ZU will be waterproof for up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. The screen will also have some sort of new technology that allows you to use anything you want as a stylus. And by anything, I mean anything. A pencil, a pen, a quill, whatever. Sony isn’t going to include a stylus with the device, however they’ll bundle some applications that can take advantage of pen input.

This phone/tablet hybrid isn’t going to be cheap when it ships this quarter, but for those who need a stupendously large phone, but don’t want to deal with the 720p resolution on the 6.3 inch Galaxy Mega, this may just be your best bet.
