Samsung today announced that it has commenced the sale of new and safe Galaxy Note 7 in Korea from October 1, with other worldwide markets to follow in the “coming weeks.” Despite the Galaxy Note 7 having been recalled due to a faulty battery, the popularity of the phone has seemingly not taken a dent.

This can be seen from the fact that Samsung has reportedly sold 30,000 units of the Note 7 in Korea alone within just two days of the handset’s re-launch. Considering the amount of negative publicity that the phone has received over the last month, this is no small feat.

Samsung has ensured that customers are easily able to distinguish their new and safe new Note 7 units from previous ones with a green battery indicator that is displayed on the status bar,  Power menu, and on Always On Display. The new Note 7 units also come with a square symbol on their packaging.

Once you look beyond the faulty battery issue, there is no denying the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 is among the best smartphones in the market right now. Its combination of a big and beautiful display, S Pen, waterproof design, and a large battery is something that hardly any other device in the market offers.

Samsung has already confirmed that it will be re-launching the Galaxy Note 7 in Europe on October 28th.

Are you looking forward to buying the Galaxy Note 7 once it again goes on sale in your region?
