The Galaxy Note 5 is still sometime away from its official unveiling, but specs and other details about the device have constantly leaked over the last few weeks.

Today, the folks over at SamMobile are back with more information about Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet. According to their insider, the Galaxy Note 5 will feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. With many mid-range Android devices now coming with 4GB RAM, it is likely that Samsung does not want to be left behind in the pure specs department race. The increased RAM should also help the company in alleviating the poor RAM management issue that plagues the Galaxy S6 and makes multitasking on the handset almost impossible.

Additionally, the source reveals that the Note 5 will come with an Exynos 7422 SoC. This chipset will be based on Samsung’s 14nm fabrication process and will be its first single-chip solution with an integrated Shanon 333 LTE modem, CPU/GPU, NAND, and RAM in a single package.

Previous leaks of the Galaxy Note 5 indicate that the handset will come with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a new version of S Pen, a USB Type-C port, and will likely ditch the removable battery and microSD card slot for a glass back design that will be similar to the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Samsung has usually unveiled its new Note device at IFA every year, but a report from last week claims that it might bring forward the launch of the device to mid August to make up for the disappointing sales of its flagship handset.
