August is looking to be a packed month. With Samsung already slotting August 9 as a big day for itself, now Motorola is getting in a week earlier.

On Thursday, Motorola sent out event invites for an announcement it plans on making on Thursday, August 2. The company will be unveiling something new on that date at 2:00 PM local time at the company’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The teaser itself doesn’t give anything away, but the marketing team says they have a “big announcement” for something that will offer “a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat, and more”.

Thanks to rumors and earlier reports, though, we may have an idea of what Motorola has planned. The Moto Z3 (and any variants) will probably get some time on stage. And the Motorola One Power, which has leaked out several times up to this point, seems like a shoe-in for stage time.

Whatever Motorola has in store for all of us, we only have to wait just over a month to find out.
