Lenovo has unveiled its newest addition to its Vibe series of smartphones at CES 2016 today: the Vibe S1 Lite. The handset is a toned down version of the Vibe S1 that lays great emphasis on front facing camera performance.

The front of the Vibe S1 Lite houses a 5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. Under the hood, the handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. This is slower than the 1.7GHz chipset from MediaTek that is found inside the Vibe S1. Other key specs of the handset include 2GB RAM, 16GB storage space and a microSD card slot.

The back of the Vibe S1 Lite house a 13MP ISOCELL sensor from Samsung with PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash, while the front houses an 8MP sensor from Sony with a pixel size of 1.4um. There is also a front facing flash that will allow one to take selfies from the handset even in low-lit environments.

Compared to the Vibe S1, Lenovo has bumped the battery size on the S1 Lite to 2700mAh ensuring that it lasts a full day of heavy usage on a single charge. On the software front, the Vibe S1 Lite runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Lenovo’s Vibe UI skin on top of it.

The 129g heavy and 8.5mm thin handset will not be coming to the United States, and will only be sold in markets where Lenovo currently sells its smartphones. It has been priced at $199.
