adds music deep-linking to search on Android

t’s say, for argument’s sake, that you’re not sick of arrell ‘s “Happy.” You might even want to listen to it right now. Sure, it’s a modern pop version of “If you’re happy you know it, clap your hs,” but it’s also a great way to annoy your coworkers.

Starting today, when you search for “arrell “, you’ll be presented with hot links to a hful of music services so you can start listening right away. You can jump from your search results right to the artist page in Rdio, iHeartRadio, Spotify, ay, TuneIn, YouTube. 

says it working to exp this feature, especially to regionally-popular services like Deezer.

Note that this only works with artists, only more popular ones at that. Searching for “arrell Happy” didn’t give me deep links to music apps like “arell ” did. And searching for “Dethklok” yielded no deep links at all, just the usual search results.
