Google doesn’t release new developer previews for Android on a regular, or even semi-regular basis. But there is finally a new one for developers and adventurous individuals to download.

Google officially released the first Android P Developer Preview back in March, so it has been a bit of time. But now the company is releasing the second Developer Preview, which doesn’t necessarily include any major features that we haven’t already heard about, but does at least include the final Android P APIs for developers. That means they will be able to test their apps with the final APIs ahead of the public launch of Android P later this year.

“You can get Android P Beta 2 on Pixel devices by enrolling here. If you’re already enrolled and received the Android P Beta 1 on your Pixel device, you’ll automatically get the update to Beta 2. Partners that are participating in the Android P Beta program will be updating their devices over the coming weeks.”

Android P is a major upgrade insofar that it includes a new digital wellbeing feature, letting Android users keep tab on their device and app usage. It also includes a brand new gesture-based navigation for the software.

Google plans on launching Android P to the public in the third quarter of 2018.
