Vivo Nex 3 5G with Waterfall FullView Display, Snapdragon 855 Plus Launched

Vivo has finally announced the Nex 3. The latest from Vivo comes equipped with a “Waterfall FullView” OLED display. The company claims to have achieved a staggering screen-to-body ratio of 99.6 percent. The display wraps around the corner and earns the name “Waterfall FullView.”

Vivo Nex 3 Features and Specifications

Vivo Nex 3 comes fitted with a 6.89-inch 1080p display. In order to accommodate the display, Vivo has replaced the volume rocker buttons on the side with virtual buttons. The company calls virtual buttons as Touch Sense and the same is equipped with a haptic feedback feature. Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM. Meanwhile, storage options on the Nex 3 run up to 256GB.

Vivo Nex 3 is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports Super FlashCharge 44W. Also present is the in-display fingerprint sensor. On the imaging front, Nex 3 sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of 64-megapixel primary sensor, 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor. The pop-up selfie camera is fitted with a 16-megapixel sensor and a new feature called Portrait Masters Hyper HDR.

Vivo Nex 3 Pricing and Availability

As expected the Nex 3 will be launched in the Asia Pacific, Southeast China, followed by other markets. The device will be available in three variants, the 8GB RAM/128GB storage version is priced at CNY 4,998 ($707). Next, the 12GB RAM/256GB Storage variant is priced at CNY 5,698 ($809). Lastly, the top of the line Nex 3 with 5G, 12GB RAM/256 GB Storage commands a premium price tag of CNY6,198 ($879).

Pre-orders for the Vivo Nex 3 has already begun and the devices are expected to be shipped starting from September 21.
