To celebrate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, SwiftKey has released ShakeSpeak — a limited edition keyboard that will allow you to type how Shakespeare would have if he had access to a smartphone in 1591.

An outcome of SwiftKey Greenhouse, the team behind the keyboard has analysed all of Shakespeare’s work ranging from Macbeth to the Twelfth Night to The Tempest, so that you can easily add a bit of Shakespearean flair to your messages.

Just like SwiftKey, the ShakeSpeak keyboard will also learn from your writing style as you continue to use the keyboard.

ShakeSpeak is a predictive keyboard populated with words from William Shakespeare’s corpus of plays, allowing you to type like the Bard himself!

SwiftKey even provides some tips in its blog post to get that authentic Shakespeare writing style in your messages. It recommends using ‘thou, thee, and thy-ing’ in your messages, and says that these three were the among the most frequently used words by the Bard. Plus, the team recommends starting sentences with ‘Ha!’ or an ‘O!’ to nail that authentic Shakespearean feel.

You can download and take ShakeSpeak for a spin on your Android device by downloading it from the Google Play Store.

O! thou shall download ShakeSpeak to reveal your inner Shakespeare.
