Samsung recently refreshed its Galaxy A series, and now there is data to suggest that there is the possibility of a new handset entering that line-up: the Galaxy A4. According to the Indian import database, Zauba, the Korean company imported a handset bearing model number SM-A430 in the country on 2nd May.

At this juncture, there is little known about this model itself. Nonetheless, it is clear from the listing that the phone is being imported into India for testing as well as research and development purposes. The indicated unit value also places the phone well into the flagship price range, however, there is little to suggest this is the final release price. It is expected that the phone will be priced lower than the A5, if the naming scheme of Samsung stays predictable.

The Galaxy A series of phones has been slowly introduced by Samsung around the globe as a premium mid-range line-up. Though it adapts many design cues from the Galaxy S series, it stays distinctively different as it focuses on weight and slimness as opposed to packing it with features. This is not to say that the Galaxy A lags behind, but rather, it caters to those who need a workhorse and not a supercar.

For now, apart from these speculations, there is little to go on about this device. While we wait to hear more about the same, let us know in the comments below if you are excited about the possibility of a new Samsung phone.
