At the beginning of April, Samsung officially unveiled three new tablets within their Galaxy Tab series, which launched the Galaxy Tab 4 lineup. Now, more than four months later, Sprint is announcing they’ll be launching the 7-inch variant later in August.

Sprint has officially announced that the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will launch for the Now Network on Friday, August 15, and will be featuring the Sprint Spark connectivity for the areas that offer the coverage. If you can connect to Spark, that means you’ll get your LTE speeds boosted to 60Mbps. Sprint has a few phones with this functionality for owners, but this is the first tablet the network has on offer.

As far as specs go, you’re looking at a tablet with a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also boasts a 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood. You’ll find a 3-megapixel camera on the back, with a 1.2MP front-facing shooter on the other side. You can pick a variant with 8GB or 16GB of built-in storage, and both come with 1.5GB of RAM.

If that’s not enough for you, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also features Multi User Mode, which will let you set up specific profiles for each person that might be using your tablet. Unfortunately, pricing wasn’t revealed for the tablet specifically, but here’s Sprint’s options for data:

Galaxy Tab 4 can be activated on one of the Sprint tablet data plans, including a special limited-time offer featuring 100MB of data for $10; other tablet data plans include 1GB for $14.99; 3GB for $34.99; 6GB for $49.99; 12GB for $79.99; and 30GB for $109.99 (all pricing excludes taxes and surcharges).

Do you plan on picking up the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0?
