The zero to hero camera update that Motorola released for the Moto X also patched the exploit used to gain root access on the device. Considering how closed Motorola devices are, gaining root access on the device after finding a new exploit could take its own sweet time. 

Thankfully, Justin Case, the master mind behind the PwnMyMoto exploit, has managed to find another way to gain root access on the Moto X that have the camera update installed. The new method has been aptly named ‘RockMyMoto’.The new process is slightly more complex than the previous version, so you need to proceed with caution.
