The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with triple rear cameras. Despite all the hype that OnePlus tried to generate about it, the camera performance of the OnePlus 7 Pro is nowhere close to the likes of the Galaxy S10, iPhone XS, or the Huawei P30 series. That’s definitely a shame, though there’s one way you can improve the overall image quality of the OnePlus 7 Pro — by using a modded Google Camera APK.

While there is a working modded Google Camera APK port for the OnePlus 7 Pro, it is not yet optimized for the phone. This means that’s still room for improvement but it will take developers some time to sort the issue out. This does not mean though that using the modded Google Camera APK will not provide any improvements in image quality though. There is still a noticeable improvement in overall image quality particularly in HDR photos and in terms of the number of details captured.

Install Modded Google Camera (GCam) on OnePlus 7 Pro

Step 1: Download this modded GCam APK on your OnePlus 7 Pro and proceed to install it.

Step 2: Open the Google Camera app and proceed to grant it with the necessary permissions. You can now go ahead and start clicking photos on your OnePlus 7 Pro with the modded Google Camera APK.

Compared to the stock OnePlus camera, photos taken from the modded Google Camera app have better contrast, dynamic range, and details. The colors are a bit off, though that’s something which will be resolved as developers work on further improving the modded Gcam port for the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Another issue with the modded GCam APK on the OnePlus 7 Pro is that it only works with the primary 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. The ultra-wide-angle sensor and the 3x optical zoom sensor are not compatible with the modded Google Camera app meaning you cannot capture photos using them. This is also something that should be resolved once developers get around to porting the modded GCam APK properly for the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Night Sight on the modded Google Camera APK also works on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The photos it captures are notably better than what the OnePlus 7 Pro is able to capture using its dedicated Nightscape mode.
