Google Maps has had offline navigation for quite sometime now, but Google is now further enhancing it by bringing turn-by-turn directions offline as well. 

This will make the service more accessible to users who frequently travel to areas with spotty mobile data coverage or where mobile data is significantly costlier.

In addition to offline turn-by-turn directions, offline data of Google Maps will now also contain user reviews and timings of stores, restaurants and more. Sadly though, Google Maps will be gaining these features “later this year.”
