A new leak hints that Nokia is finally ready to jump into pop-up selfie camera bandwagon. MySmartPrice has revealed information about the upcoming Nokia 8.2. It may be recalled that Nokia 8.1 was announced in December last year and the company is now ready with its successor.

Nokia already offers a punch-hole selfie camera on Nokia X71, which was recently launched in Taiwan. If the information is to be believed, then the Nokia 8.2 will be the first smartphone from the company to sport a pop-up selfie camera. The pop-up selfie camera was first offered by Vivo and soon others followed suit.

Meanwhile, the selfie camera on Nokia 8.2 shapes up in the form of a 32-megapixel sensor. On the software front, the device will run Android Q. Storage options include 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The report goes on to suggest that Nokia 8.2 will be released in August which will coincide with Android Q stable release. That being said, the above information needs to be taken with a proverbial pinch of salt.

Other reports have already suggested that Nokia 8.2 will be powered by either Snapdragon 736 or other chipsets from Snapdragon 700 series. The popup camera will help Nokia incorporate a display without a notch and achieve a better screen to body ratio. Earlier reports have hinted that Nokia is prepping two 5G devices. One is supposed to be a flagship device while the other a mid-range offering.
