Netflix users have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the service. While the service in itself is very useful, its Android app is very buggy and unstable. Today, this changes as the Netflix team has started rolling out a major update for their Android app. 

The new update brings a major UI overhaul with a hamburger menu and action bar support. The jerky scrolling and random force closes have been replaced with buttery smooth scrolling and performance. The Netflix team has also updated the graphical assets making things much prettier to look at.

The updated app also works much better with Chromecast with a usable lock screen widget. Netflix is doing a staged roll-out so the update will take some time to land on your device. If you cannot wait until then, head over to this post from Android Police to manually grab the APK.
