Towards the end of last month, Motorola teamed up with Verizon to release one of the most powerful and feature packed Android handsets of this year — the Droid Turbo. The Lenovo-owned company is now bringing the handset to other regions of the world under a different moniker — the Moto Maxx.

The Moto Maxx is similar to its CDMA sibling except it lacks the Droid and Verizon branding. Under the hood, the handset sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 805 processor running at 2.7GHz, 3GB RAM, 64GB of on-board storage space, and a 21MP rear shooter that is capable of shooting 4K videos as well.

The handset also features NFC, Qi Wireless charging and a gigantic 3900mAh battery for two days of battery life. Motorola is also bundling its Turbo Charger with the Maxx, which should provide the device with up to eight hours of additional battery life with only 15 minutes on the charger.

The Maxx comes with a “premium ballistic nylon” design, which Motorola states is a first in the industry. Beneath it lies a layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber — a material that is considered five times stronger than steel. It also comes with water-repellent nano-coating and Corning’s Gorilla Glass on the front.

On the software side, the Moto Maxx will provide users with a “pure Android experience, which means fast upgrades.” It also comes with all the software goodies we have already seen on the Moto X including Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Assist and more.

The Moto Maxx is already on sale in Brazil on Motorola’s website and will be making its way to Mexico in mid-November with availability in additional Latin American countries soon.
