Motorola may have won the hearts of customers with the Moto X but the sales of the handset have been below expectations. In a bid to improve sales and listening to customer feedback, the company dropped the prices of the unlocked and developer edition Moto X to $349 (16GB) and $399 (32GB) during the previous holiday season

Soon after that, the company permanently dropped the prices of the handset to $349 and $399. Today, the company has announced another fire sale where it will be offering the unlocked and developer editions of the Moto X for only $299 (16GB) and 349$ (32GB). The sale will only last an hour on January 27th from 3-4PM ET and will be valid only until stocks last.

If you somehow manage to miss the above deal, Motorola has got you covered with another deal –a hefty 70$ discount that will last until Valentine’s Day. Keep in mind that you can grab the wooden back Moto X for only an additional $25 over the above mentioned prices.

Just three months ago, the unlocked Moto X was retailing for more than $500. Now, Motorola is offering the handset at a price point that is lower than the Nexus 5.
