Yesterday, we got the first look at LG’s upcoming phablet device — the G3 Stylus — via a promotional video from the company itself.

Today, more details about the device have leaked including its full specifications, which reveal that the phablet is not a direct competitor to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 4.

According to Zauba and a UA profile on LG’s website, the G3 Stylus will come with a 5.7-inch 720p resolution screen, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage space, an 8MP camera and a 1.3MP shooter in the front. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and will also support LTE networks.

The above specs of the device have been seemingly confirmed by an ‘industry source’ of Korea Times, who said that the G3 Stylus would be “slightly downgraded compared with the G3” and will launch towards the end of the third quarter.

The G3 Stylus was initially expected to be a Galaxy Note 4 competitor, but these specs clearly peg it into the mid-range segment, which might be a disappointment for many who were yearning to purchase a Stylus based phablet from LG. On the positive side, the low price tag of the G3 Stylus should make it within the reach of a wider range of consumers.
