Just a month after Samsung unveiled a Snapdragon 805 powered Galaxy S5, LG has gone ahead and announced a Snapdragon 805 powered variant of the LG G3 as well.
The handset will only be available in LG’s home country — South Korea — and will support the recently deployed LTE-A network there for a maximum theoretical download speed of 225Mbps.
The Snapdragon 805 chipset features four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.7GHz, an Adreno 420 GPU and Qualcomm’s latest Gobi modem, which supports Cat. 6 LTE networks. Other specs of the device remain the same as its international sibling including 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP OIS+ camera with LaserAF, a microSD card slot, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 3000mAh removable battery.
The handset will go on sale in South Korea from July 25th.
Chances of LG releasing the S805 variant of the G3 outside of its home country are pretty bleak so don’t hold back on purchasing the normal S801 variant for it.
