Not too long ago, Google officially unveiled Android Wear 2.0 with plenty of noteworthy changes on board.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed by Motorola’s official support account on Twitter that the first-generation Moto 360, the company’s first smartwatch with Android Wear, would not be getting the software upgrade to Android Wear 2.0. Now, it’s time for another company’s first smartwatch to be left out in the wind, too.

In a reply to someone asking whether or not the original LG G Watch would be getting upgraded to the new software, LG’s USA Mobile Twitter account chimed in, saying that the original watch will not be getting upgraded to Android Wear 2.0, adding that the wearable has been discontinued.

As for why the LG G Watch won’t be getting the new software, there’s no word on that just yet. However, the wearable did launch back in June of 2014 as one of the first smartwatches running Google’s wearable platform, so that is probably reason enough right there.
