Back in September, LG announced a new tablet powered with a Snapdragon S600 processor – the G Pad 8.3. However, at the time of its announcement, the company did not mention anything about its pricing or release date.

Now, more than 1.5 months later, LG has finally announced that the G Pad 8.3 is now officially available in the United States for $349. For its price, the G Pad does pack in a decent amount of power including an 8.3-inch 1200*1920 screen, 2GB of RAM and a Snapdragon S600 processor.

The full specs of the LG G Pad 8.3 are as follows -:

  • 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.3 mm dimensions
  • 8.3-inch (1200*1920) resolution screen with a pixel density of 273
  • Snapdragon S600 clocked at 1.7GHz
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage
  • microSD card slot
  • NFC, GPS, dual band Wi-Fi, SlimPort
  • Stereo speakers
  • 5MP camera in the back, 1.3MP front-facing shooter
  • 4600mAh non-removable battery
  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Optimus UI

For its price, the LG G Pad 8.3 offers insane value for money. If you don’t want the Nexus 7 or an iPad mini, the LG G Pad 8.3 is probably going to be your best bet. Don’t expect future software updates from LG though.
