Do you own an HTC One (M8) and itch to try out CyanogenMod on it? Well, here is some good news for you. Starting today, the CyanogenMod team will begin rolling out official CM11 nightlies for HTC’s latest flagship.

The nightly builds will be available under the ‘m8’ codename and will support the GSM as well as the CDMA (read Sprint and Verizon) variants. Do keep in mind that the first builds might be a bit buggier than usual so if stability is of your prime concern, it’s better to wait for a couple of weeks before installing CyanogenMod on your One (M8).

Also note that using CyanogenMod means you will be bidding adieu to some of the unique features from HTC like the Motion Launch and the secondary depth sensor. The team, however, is working on bringing double tap to wake and motion gestures along with compatibility with the Dot view case to their ROM. All these sacrifices do bring you a near-stock version of KitKat with just the right amount of customisation options though.

Make sure that your One (M8) is already rooted with a custom recovery installed before you head over to CyanogenMod’s download center.
