On the day that Microsoft announces that they’re going to buy Nokia’s mobile phone business, HTC decided to drop quite a few press releases. Starting with the low-end, the Desire 300 is a device I covered last week, but I mistakenly called it the HTC Z3. It’s your typical run of the mill 4.3 inch 800 x 480 pixel dual core smartphone with an anemic 512 MB of RAM.

Next up is the Desire 601 (pictured above), which for all intents and purposes is the Desire 600 that was launched in Asia earlier this summer, but in a new body that looks like a plastic version of the One. You’re looking at a 4.5 inch 960 x 540 pixel display, dual core Snapdragon S4, and 1 GB of RAM.

Moving on to color variants, HTC has not only announced the long rumored blue HTC One, but they’ve also unveiled that a blue version of the One mini will also be released. When? They say Q4, which means any time between October and the end of the year. Rumor has it that Sprint will get the blue HTC One on September 10th, so that’s kind of weird.

Oh and one more thing: There’s no HTC One Max news. Sorry. What is the One Max? It’s the 5.9 inch “phablet” version of the HTC One that’s supposed to pack crazy high end specs and a fingerprint reader. The rumors have always said it’s going to be launched later in the year, so I’d expect October/November.
