Following the release of the April security patch based on Android 7.1.1, Google has gone ahead and released the final build of Android 7.1.2 for its compatible Nexus and Pixel devices as well.

The second maintenance release of Android Nougat primarily contains some bug fixes and enhancements, with the Pixel C getting the majority of changes. This includes a Pixel-style navigation bar, a new grid-based multitasking menu, and more.

For Pixel and Nexus devices, Android 7.1.2 will now show the network type that the handset is on while roaming. Nexus 5X and 6P owners will also be able to enjoy the Swipe down for notification gesture on their handsets post this update.

The OTA update should go live for all compatible devices within a few hours, but if you cannot wait until then, the factory images and full OTA images are already live on Google’s website for your sideloading pleasure.
