Google today announced that it is expanding its Android One program to Thailand. The company’s first smartphone in the country is the i-mobile iQ II, which comes with a 5-inch 720p HD screen.

All Android One devices until now have featured a MediaTek processor, but the i-mobile iQ II is the first handset in the company’s Android One initiative to feature a Qualcomm chipset. The handset comes with a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage space, and a microSD card slot. Other specs of the handset include an 8MP rear shooter with Auto-Focus and LED flash, and a 2MP front camera. There is also a 2,500mAh battery inside the handset that offers up to 8 hours of talk time.

On the connectivity front, the handset comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual SIM and LTE connectivity. As for the software, the i-mobile iQ II runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which Google states offers 2x the performance compared to the previous versions of the OS, features a revamped notification system, a new power saving mode, and more. The company also mentions that the handset will receive the next update to Android, though the timeframe of the rollout will depend on i-mobile’s schedule.

The i-mobile iQ II is available across the carrier’s retail and online stores in Thailand for 4,444THB.
