Google’s Back to School sale has started on its online store which sees the company reduce the price of its flagship handsets, the Pixel and Pixel XL, by up to $200.

The discount sees the Pixel price drop down to $524, with the bigger Pixel XL coming in at $569. As if a $200 discount was not already impressive enough, Google will also bundle a free Daydream View VR headset with your purchase. Do make sure to add it to your cart manually before checking out.

If you have recently purchased a Pixel or Pixel XL through Google at its full price, you can make use of Google Store’s price protect mechanism and contact Google’s customer care to get the additional money you paid refunded.

Google has also discounted its other products for its Back to School event. This includes a $20 discount on the Google Home — down from $129 to $109, OnHub router for $99 — $30 discount, and the LG Watch Style for $199 — $50 off. And if you purchase the 3-pack Google Wi-Fi, you will get a free Chromecast Audio with it.

The deal on the Pixel and Pixel XL are the best of the lot, though do remember that this is also a stock clearance sale from Google. After all, the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 are less than two months away from their official unveiling. Nonetheless, if you can get over the design of the handsets, the Pixel XL sure is worth a buy, especially for its camera and performance.
