Samsung has rolled out another small but important update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge that promises to improve the accuracy of their fingerprint scanners. The release also adds a new feature to the Photo Editor, makes visual improvements to some of Samsung’s own apps, and more.

The update comes with build number XXU1AOE3, and it’s currently reached Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners in Asia and Europe. It weighs in at just over 159MB, and it’s one of many “micro-updates” Samsung has promised for its latest flagships that makes significant improvements.

Here are all of the changes you can look forward to:

  • Improved fingerprint recognition process
  • Added new feature in Photo Editor
  • Improved compatibility with accessories
  • Enhanced interface of Email, Music, S Planner and other apps

There’s no mention of a fix for the RAM issue affecting these devices, but Samsung has already released a separate update that should fix that. You should be on the lookout for several small updates over the coming weeks if you’re a Galaxy S6 or S6 edge owner, then.

As always, these updates could take a while to reach all markets, so don’t worry if they’re not available for your handset yet; you should get an update notification sometime soon.
