We’re less than a week away from Samsung’s September 4th press conference in Berlin. An executive has already confirmed that the Galaxy Note III will be unveiled there, along with a smart watch called the Galaxy Gear. Earlier this week, photos of the front panel of the Note III leaked, in black. Today, the front panel has leaked again, though this time in white.

Black or white, it really doesn’t matter which color you end up going with, but here’s what’s “known” about the device thus far: 5.68 inch AMOLED 1080p screen, 3 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 800 processor, same 13 megapixel camera that’s found in the Galaxy S4. There will be a variant that uses a Samsung made Exynos processor, but it looks like it’ll be a little bit delayed. There’s also word on the street that there will be a “light” version of the Note III coming out that features an LCD panel and an 8 megapixel camera, though whether or not we see it on September 4th is open to debate.

Should you even buy the next Note? If you’re into big devices, sure. As someone who really enjoys carrying a Note II, and even reviewed the Galaxy Mega 6.3, I can honestly say I have a thing for big devices, but I know some of you are just shaking your heads and saying no.

No biggie, the Nexus 5 is right around the corner.
