Just like it did with its Galaxy S10 lineup earlier this year, Samsung has also branched its Note 10 lineup into two devices: the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. Despite sharing a similar design language and internal, the Note 10 and Note 10+ differ from each other in many aspects. Galaxy Note 10 vs Galaxy Note 10+: What’s the Difference
Design
In terms of design, there’s no major difference between the two phones. After all, the Note 10 is just a smaller variant of the Note 10+ and thus, both phones have the same design language. This means you are getting IP68 certification, S Pen, wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and Gorilla Glass on both devices.
The Note 10+ does feature a headphone jack and microSD card slot which is missing on the smaller Note 10.
The bigger display means the Note 10+ is heavier than the regular Note 10 as well.
Display

The Note 10+ comes with a massive 6.8-inch display compared to the 6.3-inch display of the Note 10. That’s a 0.5-inches! Apart from the size difference, the Note 10+ also features a higher resolution OLED panel. The Note 10 only ships with an FHD+ panel which might disappoint many.
In terms of panel quality though, both phones have excellent Dynamic AMOLED displays which can get extremely bright.
Camera
For all intents and purposes, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ have the same camera setup at the rear and front. This means you are looking at a primary 12MP shooter with dual f/1.5 – f/2.4 aperture, a 12MP telephoto sensor, and a 16MP ultra-wide angle shooter. At the front, you get a 10MP f/2.2 selfie shooter housed inside a centered hole-punch.
The Note 10+ comes with an additional ToF (Time of Flight) sensor at its rear. It does not make any improvement to the image quality in any way. Instead, it is only used in some AR apps and its usefulness is very limited right now.
Both phones have the ability to shoot videos with a fake bokeh effect. They also have Audio Zoom which allows them to focus the sound on the person who is speaking.
Storage and RAM
- Galaxy Note 10 – 8GB RAM | 256GB
- Galaxy Note 10+ – 12GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB, microSD card slot
The Galaxy Note 10 is only available with 256GB of base storage and 8GB RAM.
The bigger Note 10+ comes with a staggering 12GB RAM across the board and 256GB of base storage. Along with a microSD card slot, Samsung is also selling it with 512GB storage.
Battery
- Galaxy Note 10 – 3500mAh, 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging
- Galaxy Note 10+ – 4,300mAh, 45W fast charging, 15W wireless charging
The bigger size of the Galaxy Note 10+ means that it is able to include a bigger battery as well. While the Note 10+ comes with a massive 4300mAh battery, the regular Note 10 comes with a smaller 3500mAh battery. Since the latter also comes with a smaller and lower resolution display, it manages to last through a day of heavy use just like its bigger brother.
The Galaxy Note 10+ also supports faster 45W wired fast charging along with 15W wireless charging. Samsung, however, only bundles a 25W wired charger with the device. As for the Note 10, it tops out at 25W wired fast charging with wireless charging speeds of up to 15W being supported.
Price
This one is pretty obvious. The bigger Note 10+ is obviously going to be more expensive than the Note 10. While the Galaxy Note 10 starts at $949 in the United States, the Note 10+ starts from $1,099.
