Dots is now on Android, you should download it

It’s been a while (seven months) since I’ve owned an iOS device, so I never heard about the game “Dots”. Last night it became available for Android, and apparently the internet exploded over it, so I decided to give it a go. What is “Dots”? It’s a free game where you have to connect colored points that are arranged in a six by six grid. There are two playing modes: Get the highest score you can with a time limit of 60 seconds OR Get the highest score you can with a limit of only 30 moves.

This obviously sounds trivial and not worth checking out, but I’d like to dispel that assumption and say I’ve already lost an hour or two of my life trying to one-up my best score. When I discussed my high score on Twitter, I ended up having a conversation with a reporter from The Financial Times, an analyst, and a writer from The Next Web about different techniques for getting a better score.

That’s frankly ridiculous when you stop and think about it. So just download it already.

Will I keep on playing this game one month from now? Probably not, but so what?
