The story behind the story: Meerkat was a breakout hit at SXS/a>. However, its biggest challenge is that its prime competitor comes from the platform it relies upon: Twitter. Today’s hit viral app can be tomorrow’s goner, as evidenced by the recent shutdown of Secret. This makes getting a larger user base on Android, finding a way to make money, all the more critical for Meerkat.
