Xiaomi Launches Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition with Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM, 512GB Storage

Xiaomi debuted the K Series early this year with the K20 Pro. The device was rebranded as Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro for the European market. Xiaomi has now released a new Redmi K20 Pro ‘Premium Edition.’ As expected the premium edition offers more powerful hardware and features some cosmetic changes as well.

Redmi K20 Pro Features and Specifications

The Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition is powered by top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus and is offered with up to 12GB of RAM options. On the storage front, the updated variant will feature 512GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition features a pop-up front camera unit. The triple rear camera setup is made up of 48-megapixel Sony sensor, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Selfie camera shapes up in the form of a 20-megapixel sensor-equipped with a pop-up mechanism.

As far as display is concerned, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition comes equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED unit. Other highlights of the device include in-display fingerprint reader, NFC, and an exclusive Bionic Black color. Xiaomi says that the device is meant for gamers and the 8-layer graphite stack cooling system is 650% times more efficient when it comes to reducing the temperature.

The Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition is backed by a 4000mAh battery and comes with a 27W charger which is capable of charging the device from 0-100 in 72 minutes. As you might have already noticed, the Redmi K20 Pro Premium is offered in higher RAM/Storage configurations, that apart the device is identical to Redmi K20 Pro.

Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition is priced at RMB 2,699 ($380) for 8GB/128GB variant, RMB 2,999 ($420) for the 8GB/512GB variant and the top of the line 12GB/512GB variant is priced at RMB 3,199 ($450.) The new device is available in China and is likely to be sold in Europe as well.
